GEORGIA mashup
Georgia in the spring time offers great conditions to combine a ski and kayaking trip. When the weather gets to bad to go to the mountains, it rains down in the valley and rivers are at prime waterlevels.

A few mistakes and some struggle to manage the race effort and arms getting lactic but overall super happy with that run. I didn't expect to be able to race that well only two months after a shoulder subluxation on the home river.

Packrafting the Isère river is a really good way to spend the day outside. The river is really fun to paddle, suitable for packrafts and the shuttle can easily be hiked.

ROUGH CUTS from California

A movie attempt from a random kayaking trip in California. Not all trips go as planned and this one surely did not go as we envisioned. We are not too sure when things started to go sideways or why but we still tried to make the most of it. This short edit is an attempt to share an honest insight about our paddling experience in California. And if we have one advice : "don't sign up to make a m...

In the summer the Vénéon valley provides some of the very best training grounds you can think of. The kayaking is world class, especially if you like tight technical sequences =) In addition to whitewater, the valley has amazing climbing, mountaineering and really good trails whether you want to go on a hike or run your shuttle. Don't forget to stop at La Cordée in Saint Christophe for a coffee...
A Stout local project

Slowly piecing together one of my local project. I first put on that river in 2021, I ended up swimming, destroying a boat and loosing a paddle on the upper section. I went back a few weeks later to First D a sequence that I called "la tête au carré" (ruclips.net/video/HgnzG3djEY0/видео.html). This spring I finally caught the lower canyon with the right amount of water.

How about the Werner Powerhouse? Have you given those a try?
take care, great content
Very nice... wish i could do this. - 🐬🎶🌻
Love your videos! Always such clean lines.
Ahh so beautiful, great adventure. Little colder than here in Australia :)
Sick little edit. Love me some Georgia.
👏📽️👏📽️💯
That was big! When camping get a tent for the bugs, better get a car you can sleep in, or best get a cramping trailer
I'm surprised you don't have the Stikine since you're the queen of the Stikine. It's the smaller blade version of the Shogun made for river running. I really liked my Shogun, though I wish I had something in between the Shogun and Stikene, but I'm a bigger guy. Then there are the new Werner covert and stealth paddles which are a Dane Jackson collaboration. One of them has slightly smaller blades. Have you tried these yet?
I find the Double diamond blades to be way better than the Stikine, Shogun, or Odachi. They were marketed as playboat paddle because the blades are small but they actually have one of the better grab on water. The new paddles are really good too but they aren't available in small shaft so the good old Double Diamond remains my favorite. ;)
@@NouriaNewmanKayak Thanks, that's good to know. I currently don't have any Werners right now. I mostly use my Vulcan and a modified AT sometimes. But I have thought of getting a 203cm double diamond for playboating..
Pure Adventure 👏
The landscape looks icy and apocalyptic! Where is it ?
It's on the Isère river
@@NouriaNewmanKayak have you ever paddled horsefly falls region in BC?
@@cndjhawk I haven’t. I will look it up
Wow..this landscape is amazing. Wish I can paddle there some day too. Thanks for sharing.
Nice, but you stopped the video just before the good stuff! More video of the rest of your run please! Thank You for sharing your adventures.
Yeay! :)
I find that a zero feather angle is advantageous for being able to back deck roll on left side. What are your thoughts on that? Do you use back deck rolls? I also don't rally notice inefficiency of forward stroke on left side. Can you elaborate on why that would be the case?
Bonjour c’est top, ou c’est?

😍😍😍🫶
Hello Nuria, you have to come and paddle our Alumine river. Argentina, 18 kilometers of continuous slope between ancient araucarias and 9 other nearby rivers. We are waiting for you next season.
10:13 waou! quel pilotage tout du long Bravo !
Thanks for sharing.
I could never do this, it's amazing to watch you perform!
That is a long race. You got some stout endurance there girl. Nice job.
Monster run. Congrats!
Bravo Nouria!!! 💪💪💪Quelle superbe démonstration d'endurance!!!
Красиво!😀
Nice run! Hope your shoulder is feeling better.
I paddled with Dave Wortman today and he told me about this video. Really enjoyed watching this. I love your spirit.

Je suis tombé sur Wild Waters complètement par hasard, je ne connais pas grand chose en kayak, mais ton histoire m'a touché énormément. Merci pour ta simplicité, ton naturel et ta force, c'est très inspirant <3

Luckily it wasn’t cold 🥶 😂
That was really good 👍
Such a champion you are wow great adventure in you
wowww nice
@0m15s: And that's why we DO want half slices 😜I've been looking for a log like this for a long time but did not yet manage to meet the right spot in the right boat.
🤙
and that is why we shouldnt go on hard runs in half slices. even in puffy ones. glad nothing happened:) awesome river!
Well good thing this is not a hard run ! ;) I actually agree with you but it's hard to know what's the limit between a creeker and a slicy boat. With my weight the Steeze is surely not a slicy boat. And if I go again I'd love to try that move again ! =)
@@NouriaNewmanKayaksorry, I was referencing your friend in the drago Kush getting eaten for a hot sec at the drop in the beginning. should have stated that. i can agree that this seems to not be a super difficult run. looks very delicious. it is just my personal opinion, that we are currently in the slicy phase of the hype cycle of kayak development. this is unfortunately also where most accidents related to kayak design happen. then usually people return to safer designs for running harder stuff and less accidents happen. then people feel more safe again and the cycle starts anew... 🤷♂
Jura ?
Bienvenue
Wow! Another super tech performance! Great place, great riding!

🔥🔥
Wow 👍
Is that an OG? How does it compare to the old Nirvana you used to paddle? (what i still paddle)
There is a Steeze, a goat and a Stout. The Stout is smaller and more maneuverable than the Nirvana, the OG is bigger, maybe not as fast but a bit more sharp to paddle but also very forgiving with a ton of rocker. If you're looking for an easy but still fun to paddle big boat the OG is great. It's an amazing design but if you want something faster, a tiny bit smaller, with a it more character you should try the Stoke. I love the Stout but my guess is that it's too small for you.
PS you can check the Waka channel, there are a few boat reviews on there which might help
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Insane. Don't even try to enter Snow River twice if you are not Nouria.
Whitewater kayakers sure get to see the most amazing places from a unique perspective no one else has.
song is super sick! what is it?
